Just to Clear Things Up.

Anonymous posters are not sources of truth. YouTube is, and there is no recent concert footage I've found that shows a drunk Gerard on YouTube.

So That's Why You're Outraged. Now Will you be Quiet?

The first time I saw that video of the Dublin show in which Gerard asks to hear the crowd fuck themselves, I laughed. I have a laugh like Marge Simpson, if you have to ask.

Does anyone know how I first became an MCR fan? It all starts in a cluttered living room in Brno, Czech Republic.

There are only 8 channels on TV. You do not speak Czech, but you know that one channel will be playing music videos at this time today. Channel 4, right? You watch the music videos. There's Fall Out Boy's new video. You giggle as the fangirls show disgust at Pete's nudity. There's a rap song from this weird guy who looks like Adam Clayton. There's also a song from a Czech hip hop artist. Czech Fergie? You think so.

Then, you hear it. A velvet smooth voice begins to erupt from the TV, as some men lying on the ground appear on the screen. You feel as if you were the one lying there on the dusty ground. The singer has white-blond hair, and there is heavy make up around his glowing eyes. His face is so full of raw emotion. The lyrics were full of emotion too. I felt those emotions deep down in my heart. The chorus pops in with a bang, as I here these five men express their perseverence in life. They are open, they are honest, and there are no holds barred for these men, who, though rich and famous, speak to me as fellow humans, also unsure of their place in life. I understood them completely and wholeheartedly.

The next verse glows with that same energy found in the chorus. These men truly go for it, ripping away at their instruments. You feel like you are one with every lyric, every chord, every drumbeat. As if it were possible, the chorus comes in with even more emotion, energy, and passion than before. The guitars now develop an almost violent sound as the singer, whose name you have read is Gerard, screams into the air, his hands pulling at his face, which is twisted in a maniacal expression.

These bright lights have always blinded me,
these bright lights have always blinded me,
I say-

Suddenly, the music relaxes, and now Gerard (if that's his name) smiles as he draws out a new feeling into the atmosphere. Love and hope. As he speeds up back into the chorus, you feel inspired. The video draws to a close, but you continue to feel something that you took from this song that lasts longer than four minutes.

You are an outcast in school. Apparently, you are a "goth" "emo" and "freak". You are worthless, you are nothing. You have grown apart from your parents, in the midst of a bitter divorce that you want nothing to do with.

But from this day on, you are also understood.

I feel this every time I listen to an MCR album. At the PR show, too. I honestly didn't ever lose a bit of faith in them through all this. You know you are right when someone must explain to you why something is supposed to be an outrage.

Two And Two Make Four

I feel a bit relieved. Why is that? I'm not sure.

Fear is my biggest weakness, truth is my biggest strength.

I see what is in front of my eyes, I hear what is there to hear. And all I've heard is one voice, your voice, screaming from a distance, yet I've seen nothing to cushion your fall, to propel you out of some vague corner of my mind.

Will people still care? Perhaps. I delighted at your disappearance, then shuddered when you came back. But now, it seems we are watching the same thing.

Thank you.

Fiction and Mythology.

"A band that deals so much with fiction and mythology and worlds that don't exist...People could end up living in those places in their heads too much and develop relationships in their heads that they have with you that don't exist."

I need a break.

Blogger can really squeeze every bit of energy out of one's body. I'm taking a short little break. Perhaps a day or 2. Either way, I'll still be checking blogs, and occasionally commenting. See ya!

Allow Me To Put In A Good Word In For MSI.

I know it's "uncool" to think that MSI are a decent band who plays decent music, but I personally found it irresistibly catchy when my cousin introduced them to me in July. That's right. Before I had caught wind of the Gerard and LynZ rumors, I liked them. Perhaps not too long before, but it should make a difference in Veritavenom's idea that MCR fans only like MSI because Gerard and LynZ are man and wife.

I was very skeptical of that rumor of Gerard and LynZ dating, even by the time I saw them on August 29, in Holmdel, NJ at PR. But I thought they were very energetic live, perhaps better live than in their studio albums. Little Jimmy Urine got the crowd going at 100 MPH.

As for their lyrics, Veritavenom has completely ignored my statement on shock value. Cradle Of Filth use it, Marilyn Manson uses it, so why can't Mindless Self Indulgence use it without being called out? Of course, that would scar VV's reputation.

^ From the show I went to.

^ Same show, but filming Gerard during MSI's set.

You know, probably the biggest reason that Gerard doesn't object to Mindless Self Indulgence's music on principle is that, after meeting the band, he knows that Jimmy Urine's lyrics don't express any deeply-held beliefs. Though I'll admit, Jimmy Urine has to be a little insane to have such an onstage persona.
