So That's Why You're Outraged. Now Will you be Quiet?

The first time I saw that video of the Dublin show in which Gerard asks to hear the crowd fuck themselves, I laughed. I have a laugh like Marge Simpson, if you have to ask.

Does anyone know how I first became an MCR fan? It all starts in a cluttered living room in Brno, Czech Republic.

There are only 8 channels on TV. You do not speak Czech, but you know that one channel will be playing music videos at this time today. Channel 4, right? You watch the music videos. There's Fall Out Boy's new video. You giggle as the fangirls show disgust at Pete's nudity. There's a rap song from this weird guy who looks like Adam Clayton. There's also a song from a Czech hip hop artist. Czech Fergie? You think so.

Then, you hear it. A velvet smooth voice begins to erupt from the TV, as some men lying on the ground appear on the screen. You feel as if you were the one lying there on the dusty ground. The singer has white-blond hair, and there is heavy make up around his glowing eyes. His face is so full of raw emotion. The lyrics were full of emotion too. I felt those emotions deep down in my heart. The chorus pops in with a bang, as I here these five men express their perseverence in life. They are open, they are honest, and there are no holds barred for these men, who, though rich and famous, speak to me as fellow humans, also unsure of their place in life. I understood them completely and wholeheartedly.

The next verse glows with that same energy found in the chorus. These men truly go for it, ripping away at their instruments. You feel like you are one with every lyric, every chord, every drumbeat. As if it were possible, the chorus comes in with even more emotion, energy, and passion than before. The guitars now develop an almost violent sound as the singer, whose name you have read is Gerard, screams into the air, his hands pulling at his face, which is twisted in a maniacal expression.

These bright lights have always blinded me,
these bright lights have always blinded me,
I say-

Suddenly, the music relaxes, and now Gerard (if that's his name) smiles as he draws out a new feeling into the atmosphere. Love and hope. As he speeds up back into the chorus, you feel inspired. The video draws to a close, but you continue to feel something that you took from this song that lasts longer than four minutes.

You are an outcast in school. Apparently, you are a "goth" "emo" and "freak". You are worthless, you are nothing. You have grown apart from your parents, in the midst of a bitter divorce that you want nothing to do with.

But from this day on, you are also understood.

I feel this every time I listen to an MCR album. At the PR show, too. I honestly didn't ever lose a bit of faith in them through all this. You know you are right when someone must explain to you why something is supposed to be an outrage.

Fiction and Mythology.

"A band that deals so much with fiction and mythology and worlds that don't exist...People could end up living in those places in their heads too much and develop relationships in their heads that they have with you that don't exist."

Allow Me To Put In A Good Word In For MSI.

I know it's "uncool" to think that MSI are a decent band who plays decent music, but I personally found it irresistibly catchy when my cousin introduced them to me in July. That's right. Before I had caught wind of the Gerard and LynZ rumors, I liked them. Perhaps not too long before, but it should make a difference in Veritavenom's idea that MCR fans only like MSI because Gerard and LynZ are man and wife.

I was very skeptical of that rumor of Gerard and LynZ dating, even by the time I saw them on August 29, in Holmdel, NJ at PR. But I thought they were very energetic live, perhaps better live than in their studio albums. Little Jimmy Urine got the crowd going at 100 MPH.

As for their lyrics, Veritavenom has completely ignored my statement on shock value. Cradle Of Filth use it, Marilyn Manson uses it, so why can't Mindless Self Indulgence use it without being called out? Of course, that would scar VV's reputation.

^ From the show I went to.

^ Same show, but filming Gerard during MSI's set.

You know, probably the biggest reason that Gerard doesn't object to Mindless Self Indulgence's music on principle is that, after meeting the band, he knows that Jimmy Urine's lyrics don't express any deeply-held beliefs. Though I'll admit, Jimmy Urine has to be a little insane to have such an onstage persona.

A State Of Hopelessness.

Fear. It wins elections, it starts wars.

Fear makes people want to read on. Who doesn't feel compelled to watch TV when the news is full of reports on nuclear weapons in Nowhereville, USA?

Why are you scaring the people who trust you into a state of hopelessness? Do you really believe what you say? Your whole world seems to depend on one man. Is it because you are jealous of his happiness? Or do you intend to steal a slice of attention from the cake he's been pouring, baking, and smothering in icing for six long years for your own? I know you're full of bs, but why must you make sure that the people who believe you think that the future is 100% screwed? Your message dictates that there is no hope for him. But at the moment, I doubt his life could be better.

You're wrong. And if logic, as well as evidence of your bullshitting, helps at all in predicting what the future may hold, you really are quite a jerk.

Explain yourself, Bleeding Chaos.

According to The Bleeding Chaos, she went to Projekt Rev in Illinois. She says that Gerard Way was drunk. That's a hefty accusation for a former alcoholic. The above two videos are from the show she claims she went to. "I still remember the slurred speech, the crazy eyes, the incoherent sentences, the back and forth pacing. That is something that I will not forget anytime soon, unfortunately."

Gerard does not look drunk at all in that video! Rather than calling his onstage movements "Back and forth pacing" indicating his drunkenness, why not call it "having an energetic onstage persona" and "using the space available on the stage to entertain the audience"? Come on, that's like saying Pete Wentz is an alcoholic because he doesn't stand in one place during shows. Same thing could be said about lots of straight-edge bands.

Explain yourself, Bleeding Chaos. Did I miss something? 'cause if he's an addict, he probably couldn't stand not being drunk for some concerts. And neither of our concerts seem to include a drunk Gee.

Eliza.

I can't say I ever really liked Eliza. She just seemed kinda iffy, and Gerard saw that eventually, which I guess is why they broke it off. I can't really say what, but she just seemed unpleasant.

So no. I don't kiss anyone's ass. If I think LynZ is sweet and an overall nice person, that's not kissing her ass. It's called forming an opinion based on other people's observations. If I still think LynZ is great after she does something hurtful, or is rude to me, that's kissing her ass.

No, Gerard is not perfect.

Gee, The Bleeding Chaos. You seem pretty determined to prove everyone wrong, yet you have no proof. We'd all like for Gee's life to be perfect. And it won't be. But if you seriously think that every time he gets engaged, it's out of a fear of loneliness, you've got another thought coming. Thousands of fans come to MCR's shows. People love him, and look up to him. He has saved lives. He has four awesome bandmates. Fear of loneliness? He's never alone!

I don't think he leads the most perfect life ever. But you gotta admit, his life doesn't suck. He's happily married to someone I do believe he loves, though admittedly, only time will tell where this relationship goes.

You can hold your ground. I'm not changing my mind, either. We can agree to disagree, but until you pull ideas from a place other than your ass and proof that's anything but substantial, I'm not going to take you fuckin' seriously. Get it? Thanks.

As for Love Man, his posts don't always make sense to me. But I do understand the general idea of his message.

Gerard Is on COKE! and ALCYHOL! GAAAAAAAAAH!

So, at the Forbidden planet signing, Gerard Way did something we thought he'd never do: HE WENT TO THE BATHROOM AND WAS HAPPY/RELAXED AFTERWARDS. We all know what this means: Gee is a drug addict. And LynZ is slipping crack in his food! Oh no! [/sarcasm]

You know, from what I've heard, LynZ is really sweet. Yeah, Gerard has been very happy lately, but who can blame him? He's in a very good place in his life. His band is successful, he just got married, and he's no longer depressed. If LynZ really is that sweet (and no one who has met her says she isn't), Gerard just has all the more reason to be happy. People who shun her based on her music, or by the belief that anyone MCR dates is inherently a bitch obviously doesn't have Gerard's best interests in mind. He is happy. Or could you not tell? He is in love. Or did you not hear? I mean, he said that several times on Projekt Revolution. Don't ruin this for him.
