A Letter to MCR

See that post, right below this one? I wrote it mere minutes ago. I'm obsessed.

I've decided to write a letter to MCR, in the impossibly rare event that, amidst the many blogs and fansites on the web, they happen to see this one. Let's hope they do.

Dear My Chem,

Insane, isn't it? Just six years ago, you were merely five geeks with a message. And now, your videos are plastered upon MTV's face. Mikey got married, Frank is engaged, and now, out of the blue, Gerard gets married to the bass player of a band that my cousin adores, and I was growing on. It makes me ashamed to think that obsessives like me, and bloggers like Veritavenom (don't even think of going there unless you want to seriously feel hurt) are both categorized as fans. I feel ashamed to be lumped in with annoying WebCelebs.

Guys, don't let them get to you. It's your life. MCR will always about the music. I refuse to be kept in the dark about your personal lives, unless it's against your wishes, but I would never abuse you guys. If Ray Toro wanted to take a piss during a signing, and was cheerful afterwards, there wouldn't be a huge fuss over that. But Gerard went to the men's room, and all of a sudden he's a crackhead. Yes, people think you're on drugs again, Gee. But I don't.

I saw you at Projekt Rev in Holmdel. You guys rocked my world. Best night of my life. I can't wait to see you again, and I hope you guys come to the NY/NJ area sometime in the next few years.

I love your music. It gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling, like it must be to have friends. I guess you are my friends. Gerard said so at the concert. And you know what? I believe it.

XOXO,
-J.
